How to crop visible PDF margins
Set margins for selected pages to change their visible area. Values are PDF points, measured in the original unrotated page coordinates.
- There are 72 PDF points in an inch. Start with small margins and check the result.
- Use Organize PDF for rotation rather than attempting to rotate through cropping.
Common questions
Does cropping remove confidential information?
No. Cropping changes the visible box and may leave hidden content in the file. It is not secure redaction.
Why are my margins rejected?
The margins must leave a valid visible page area. Reduce the values or check the page dimensions.
Can I cover content with the PDF editor instead?
The editor adds visible overlays; covering text can leave the original content underneath. Neither cropping nor covering content is secure redaction.
