How to add page numbers to a PDF
Add simple page numbers at the top or bottom of selected pages. Choose a starting number and readable text size before exporting.
- Numbers follow your selected page order, beginning with the value you enter.
- Check that the placement does not overlap existing headings, footnotes or printed numbers.
Common questions
Does this replace existing page numbers?
No. It adds visible text to the page; it does not remove existing text.
Can I number a PDF containing forms?
Forms are outside the supported subset and are rejected. Use a suitable source export that preserves the content you need.
